They do look incredibly fiddly but well worth it, the end product looks great. Thanks for the tips

They look incredibly fiddly Liz but as you say the end result is so worth it! Your ivy looks amazing!

I almost bought a couple of the flower kits at Miniatura but ended up putting them back as I doubted my sausage fingers (as hubby calls me) could cope with the delicate little petals and leafs. I may have to ignore hubby and try at least one though....

I'm glad they actually look like ivy!

Really you don't need your fingers at all. A pair of those tweezers in the first picture become your 'fingers' for picking the bits up and a clean cocktail stick to maneuver things into place on the stem.

Well done on a fabulous fiddly job Liz! I love miniature ivy and would love to have some, but i just don't have the patience to make some from a kit, so bravo to you, it looks great!!

The ivy looks lovely and as you say it looks like ivy. Once you have done a couple of these kits it gets a lot easier. I love these flower kits and am just about to order more.

You must have a lot of patience to do those Liz. I bought 6 flower kits at the last Miniatura because she was selling them for 3 instead of 5 but I am not looking forward to making them.

That looks for real to me, in miniature of course!!

I have done quite a bit of cake decorating in the past so those skills might come in useful .... eventually!

i bought some cake making stencils from lakeland this year...i must admit i saw some alphabet shapes and thought mini straight away...they are great with air clay..and possibly fimo (i have'nt used my fimo yet)..then i found some petal cutters and daisy shaped cutters for icing...great size for mini..and i bought that free silicon sweet making mould 99p,the heart shaped ones...(and i almost forgot i was trying to get back into making cakes or real....after about 19 years)..if you make rl cakes you should do mini ones i bet you would find it rewarding...i lose interest a bit when i do things these day so are just basic.
..i look out for the silicon moulds if they are small enough i have seen some ice making ones with different themes but nothing i would want yet......
.i use the card making impresses too...they make good 'icing swirls' for the 'cakes'
