Default Dove Cote

I bought one of these unfinished dove cotes a little while ago for my garden. I have just noticed that DHE are selling the same one at the moment. I thought you may like to see how mine turned out. I painted the sides ivory and blue the same as my dolls' house and the roof is a heather shade which I painted the roof of the dolls house with. I sawed off the little lower stand and inserted it into some oasis which I painted brown with acrylic paint. The roses, leaves and tall spires are all DHE but don't know if they are still available. Some of the roses are hand made with paper circles. I think it is a lovely dove cote especially as you can paint it any colour you wish to match your houses. Very pleased to see DHE had them. Hope you like it.

Hi Sue,
The dove cote is very pretty indeed, and it perfectly works with the exterior of your beautifull dollhouse. It has quite a romantic touch with all the roses etc so your doves live in a home as stately as the "big" one.

Thank you so much Michael! It is a very sweet little dove cote - you could also paint it traditional white with a thatched roof. It is very versatile and I was so pleased to see them available from DHE. Thank you again.

Thank you Rebecca, now I just need to buy some little doves at the fair!! I bought the cote at the same time my neighbour was putting up one for me in my real garden so it has even special meaning.

I am so pleased you like it Jean, thank you. I did enjoy painting it up they look so different. I do like those pink ceramic roses from DHE too - very pretty. They were left over from the garden in my book so don't know if still available. I do have a trail left if you need any.
