Default Road Design

I'm not sure whether this is the right section for this query, it is outdoor related though?

I bought a road fronted basement kit and I'm practically finished with the decorating (and returning our conservatory back to normal!) but I'm stuck with my actual road. My house is contemporary with the idea that its a main house with attached basement flat and I want my road to be as realistic as possible.
Obviously it's not a full sized road, just one half, so I don't need the lines down the middle.
I want to create a resident's only parking space and some double yellows but my free hand is shocking. Is there anywhere to maybe get stencils for this kind of thing, or so I need to just stick down some masking tape and get painting with yellow and white paint?

That was my thought to use so masking type. Or else you can try to make a stencil with the appropriate markings.

Alternatively, if the road surface is smooth and not textured, how about pin stripe vinyl tape from Halfords. It's self adhesive and in various widths and colours. You should find white and yellow. Should look fairly effective as the real yellow and white paint usually stands a little proud of the road surface.
You could then weather it with a bit of dust, a few leaves and the odd bit of paper too. :0)

I never thought of that, our IT department at work has loads so I'm sure I could make up a work emergency where I require it.
Definitely going to leave a bit of newspaper half on the pavement and half on the road!

Hopefully attached a couple of photos of my finished road/garden( doing this off my phone). Went with the yellow tape for the double yellows. Just got to get a car with a little parking ticket now.
