Default Quality

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone can help me, I recently brought (from Ebay) The Corner Shop Part 2 and was disappointed with the thickness and quality of the MDF. The walls and floors just seem to 'butt' up together rather than sit in grooves. I've brought lots of house from DHE in the past and the quality seems so much better than this one but didn't know if it was just because it is a cheaper one or if the quality has changed since being bought by Streets Ahead.

The reason I'm asking is that I am on the verge of buying The Malibu Beach House whilst its on offer but don't want to be disappointed by the quality again as this is a lot more money, can anyone help?

Thanks

I love the Dolls House Emporium Kits. I have over 20 of their kits and I was never disappointed with them. I wouldn't think of changing the brand. They are high quality. I have just finished the corner shops a couple of months ago and I didn't have any problems with them at all. The larger kits are much detailed and everything fits in like a puzzle, so I don't think you'll have any problems. Here is a picture of my corner shop

Thumbs up Malibu is wonderful

I got the Malibu Beach kit (Sydney Vista sorry all pics to be found at: see signature) and it was wonderful made.

I don't have the Corner shop but had the same thought about cheap material/making with the Springwood Cottage from DHE: thin MDF etc

If you go to
DHE Pricing seems odd
and
Springwood Cottage or the House I don't like anymore
you'll find my reasons for it

But over 2 years later I started new with my Luchag-Thread:
The Luchag Collection (at the Old General Store)

So, not everything is lost, just get creative if it doesn't work out as planned

Depending where you live, you may try asking some dolls house shops.
They may have one in "storage"
Sometimes it's "out of stock" at one dealer but another still got the item you search so looking online or even calling around might help you find an specific item...
