Default 19, Linton Lane (the Mountfield saga)

Well, this has been a long time coming. The glue is out and we're waiting for a final wall to dry before assembling! Pics will be here before bed!

Really pleased with the bricks and the rendering has come out well, although there's a bit of touch-up needed on the join between the two. Frog tape worked a little too well there

I've still got the removable external panels to finish, but there isn't a huge amount to do with them. The bricks take forever and I never seem to have much time at the moment. Not even thought about the roof! Got the kitchen, living room and bathroom painted, but no flooring anywhere so far, just lots of mdf.

BUT with the house assembled, it means I can start playing. I've got a DHE parcel ready for collection tomorrow (we were out on the boat and missed the postman on Sat ) So here's hoping for a few lights and an assembled kitchen and maybe an internal door or two in the next couple of weeks

Sadly, have deadlines in the real world (and the fictional one) so progress isn't going to be fast. Really enjoying the journey though!

Pics to follow in about an hour... So excited!

ARGH - scratch that. Best laid plans...

Having filled in the archways between the living room/dining room/kitchen, we've realised that there isn't a full-length cut to slot the wall into. Got to either trim a bit off the bottom of the wall or connect the routed channels all the way along the wall's length rather than just on either side of the archway.

Thanks

Managed to prop a couple of bits together to see what it looks like (not an exact fit because of the archway issue, but you can get the idea), but it's a tomorrow job to get it assembled. Gutted Hope these pics will do for now...

The red of the bathroom wall is looking pink under the flash and the artificial light, but it's actually not. Honest.

Should also explain that the bathroom is going to be split in two - the bath's going at the purple end and will either have an archway through to it, and/or some very theatrical curtains.

The red is actually a light burgundy sort of colour. May need to go a shade or so darker. It's not pink, I promise!

So that's the kitchen below and the bathroom above....?
Well done! Hope it doesn't all fall down!
