Default My first dollhouse - Orchid by Greenleaf - in progress

Hopefully I am in the right thread. I've just recently begun building my first house and have already received some wonderful tips and ideas for flooring and such on other threads here.

Rather than scattering my photos about on different threads, I thought I'd start collecting the progress photos here.

I used craft sticks for flooring for the parlor and boudoir. I'm still working on the "stone" floor for my kitchen. It is mostly done but still needs grouting.

And here I've begun to put the house together...

I decided to paper the ceiling in the parlor.

It looks gorgeous. That wallpapers is very pretty and your floor has turned out lovely. Are you making your stone floor from egg boxes?

You are off on a good start. It looks so lovely and I love the colors that you chose for the interior. Well done

Thanks!

Yes, I used the egg cartons for the "stone" -- an idea suggested to me on another thread. It worked out fine once I found the cartons. Had to go to several stores to find them!

I did see a tutorial for that a while ago. Will maybe try it sometime.

A very good technique. The stones look very effective.
