Cool Mouse House

Time for a new house and as usual I waited to start the thread till I got more to show than just a box or a few bare walls

Here a little teaser of things to come:

Ad if you wonder about the Name of the House ...
... easy: it's my nickname

Cool Which house?

Oh, you want to know which house I "used"?

This one:

Recognize it?
Yep, the DHE Mountfield.

I never really had any desire to do a more 'modern' house (1930s onward), but the Mountfield is such a gorgeous house. I keep looking up pictures of it again and again.

I'm sure I'll succumb eventually!

Enjoy it, I'm looking forward to following your progress.

Cool Let'S the games begin

or the dry-building (without roof) be finished for thinking.

And already got the first alterations in mind:
1. A real staircase up to the attic
2. closing the door on the left side and
3. instead of a window a door on the right side
4. closing the will to the little cubby underneath the stairs and putting in a door from there to the hallway
5. a few more windows into the roof
(reasons for why will be explained as I go along with the building, okay?)

So of to next post to see the alterations...

Cool Alterations (also called kit-bashing)

The second staircase to the attic.

Another thing: a large window for to lighten up the hallways (forgot to mention that in the post before).

And the three changed walls.

Oh before I forget:
Please keep in mind that I started last autumn so don't think I'm fast...
Quite the contrary with this house - will explain why in one of the next posts
