Default My first dolls house.....from scratch

Hi all.

I recently finished building a small dolls house for my grand daughter. During the build I spent so much time researching what was possible and the materials available that I got somewhat obsessed by the idea of building something a bit more grown-up.... and after a trip to the Kensington Dolls House show - my wife was convinced it was essential!

So I'd like to share my build with others more knowledgeable to get some hints and tips as I go along.

I've started a Facebook page for my friends to follow along, and your welcome to pop over and offer any criticisms you might have

https://www.facebook.com/DollsHouseBuilder/

The attached photo is the finished house I made for my grand daughter.

It's a bit of a pain resizing pictures to upload, but here are a few to show the progress so far of my 'grown-up' house.

The picture of the basic carcass is the basement and ground floor. It will eventually get another 2 floors and an attic/roof.

I would miss my dog going away for an hour! Yes, over-protective mother.

The house has a lot of character. This room will be gorgeous when done.
