Default Santa's House

So a few years ago now, I posted asking for ideas on logging a house. I had the dhe pavilion and garden, and wanted to turn it into santa's house. After life generally getting in the way as it does, we finally managed to find the time to work on it. And though it still needs a few tweaks, I finally have the house I wanted.

The 1st pic is of it built and stained
2nd pic - the inside walls (Christmas wrapping paper!)
3rd - bare garden
4th - I used lolly sticks for the fencing both sides, and added in florist foam to pin in the hedging. sticky back green felt for the grass, and the fake snow is the stuff you can grab in packets at xmas with ALOT of pva glue.
5th - My husband spent a fair while logging the house. we bought a willow screen which he undid, and then cut to size, sticking each one on individually with a few pins here and there for the ones that didn't want to stay down lol.

I don't have as many pictures as I thought, and it is now packed away in the loft ready to come out before xmas for some extra tweaking and to go on display again. However, here are a few more pics I do have

1st pic - view of the finished garden.
2nd - Garden & house together, the inside was finished off with a red carpet and my husband made the chimney breast. I had a ceramic fireplace that lights up that I wanted to include, and this finished it off perfectly for me.
3rd - A view of santa through the window
4th - view of mrs clause and the fireplace

Brilliant idea, using willow screening for the log cabin exterior..it looks very cosy inside, thanks to that fireplace and the “wallpaper” is a nice touch.
It makes me think that Christmas is only x months away......
