Hi Hazel - great to hear from you again, it's been a while!

I made a first mock up out of an old cotton shirt, then adjusted the pattern pieces to fit my mannequin. You're right - it really pays to get it right before cutting out the nice fabric.

I've just finished another - will post the pictures in a little while.

If you use the paper pattern , glue the pieces together, if its on a mannequin or even a doll. Draw a pencil line where you would like the seam to be. Take the pattern off carefully, cut along the pencil line and when drawing a new pattern piece, remember to add a seam, I usually make mine approx. 3mm, you can always trim if you wish.

So, dress 2 complete. I think the first one was actually neater - must have been beginners luck! (Sorry - no idea how to flip the photo around!)

Still, I think it fits the bill and I'm almost at the point of declaring that room complete!
