Some time back I joined this forum and was very keen on my new hobby then one afternoon I was off walking my dog and I collapsed just by my back gate, I crawled back in doors and told my wife what had happened, to cut the story short I ended up in my local hospital for a week for test but thinking it was arthritis.

At the end of a week a specialist did some test on me at this time I could not walk or use my left arm with out a nurse to help.

After about an hour I said to him whats wrong with me and can you put it right, he answered you have a trapped nerve in the top of your spine but my team can fix that with an operation, after some thought I asked him say if I don't have a operation, he said first you will loose the use of your left arm followed by your legs, once this happened I can't help you.
I beg your forgiveness, Reg

This was on a Friday, on Monday at 7.30 am and 60 miles away I was admitted to Southampton Hospital, by 11am they started to operate on my spine.

It has taken many months to recover but my left arm is not to good but I can walk with a stick.

Lucy the puppy bit the wife and regretfully she had to go back, the dog not the wife, also I had to give up the caravan and our lovely 4x4, but it's not all bad news, I am now back with the dolls house, so I decided to go back on the forum, now you must bare with me with this, the operation played some funny tricks with my mind, I can not remember coming home or much about the first week at home, I was afraid to move so I just laid in bed feeling sorry for my self, so after many weeks I went to sign on this forum, it asked for my pass word, I will admit I cried as I could not remember it, several weeks past and I was telling a nurse about this and she told me just re-join again under a different name, so here I am Jeeves.

I have changed many parts of the house now and am in the process of adding a cafe to the side of the house.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologies to every one for the deception but it was not intentional, please find it in your harts to forgive me.

We also now have a new dog, a bit old like me but has been help-full as I can now take him for a walk plus to day I went off road-in with my daughter (slowly), no pain, yet.

I will stay as Jeeves the butler now but I expect some of you have worked it out who I was before, but I have changed my life style so much and the dolls house was meant to be.
OK I think I do know you........................
AND you must NOT apologize............ (I) We all understand no one is perfect and has perfect health .......
Don't worry too much my friend, very few of us are perfect including me...........but my problems are for another time................ Keep your chin up and keep going. As long as you are bloody minded enough and determined , but take your own time to do things ........... hopefully you will reach your goal / dream. We all have a miniature dream and WILL get there................

Look after yourself, keep walking your pup (like I do!) and enjoy your miniatures,

Regard my friend,

No idea who you were in a past life but I know you as Jeeves and that is fine by me glad you are on the mend, I have a problem with my right side, in time you will find other ways of doing things and compensating. Looking forward to seeing and hearing how your house is coming along

Jeeves is quite a good name I've lost track of the times I can't remember my username/password !! Don't worry about it. And what I like about dolls houses and miniatures is that the interest always stays with you even if you don't do anything for months or years! Enjoy your hobby and continue to get better.

Default Just me

Thanks for understanding, I am feeling a lot better but not yet 100%.
I have brought more wood for flooring but have not touched the house for some time now, but been making a picket fence for my front garden, with the help of my wife.
As for my health, I can use my left hand more but it has no strength in it but getting there.
I walk the dog every day for exercise, me that is, oh just remembered, on Sunday with a bit of luck am of to Lyndhurst in the new forest as there is a miniature fair on.
Well its good to see or hear from all my friends, will resume my house when the fence is finished.
Love you all
Jeeves

Cool

This is an old thread, but you have nothing to apologise for!

I do hope things are still improving for you, you are local to me and I don't see many peeps in this hobby near by!
