Default Boat or caravan.............

.......wondering whether the bookcase back panel would be big enough to make a caravan or boat .....made a few doodles....its 29'' long, could do with being a bit longer but i think it would look ok...borrowed the furniture from the jwrens to get an idea of layout...may need to make the kitchen from balsa wood, the units could do with being a bit smaller.....need 2 walls for bathroom and bedroom....thought the height of 9'' would do ok for an ott or resin of 6'' and maybe 8'' depth.....trying to get as much out f the panel as i can..would have a drop down front......(watched that GEORGE fellow the other day with his 'small spaces' programme...and then you have PATTY'S lovely caravans.........i want one too..!)

Red face

...he wants a boat...she wants a caravan......i can see a van with a decking and the shingles on the outside walls...more static caravan.........would like to see venetian blinds at windows..would'nt use these ones, would like a round window in shower room...have a little corridor from front door to shower room where a coat rack could be put...maybe a smaller settee to save space...built in wall unit for tv,stereo, dvds and books, little table, wall lights, kitchen diner type set up,panelled or tongue and groove interior walls....

Its got to be a static modern day caravan in a holiday park! thats what your layout, accessories and windows etc. bring to mind! It would be a very original project Su, go fo it! x

I'm with Sergio, a nice houseboat then they can go up and down the canals, seeing the changing scenery, lovely way to spend the weekends

Love it! Thanks for showing your planning - the pics made me smile
I'll be watching with interest 'cos I've got a scratch built narrowboat on my future projects list - and 2 gypsy caravans before that - but they will be more traditional 'cos the caravans are already built, just need the insides fitting out and the outsides renovating.
I very much like your way of planning the sizes. It would work well for a house too wouldn't it? Might make for something a bit different from the norm...
Stop it Tania! Woodbine Cottage, caravans and narrowboat before you add another project to the list!
You've started something now!
