Great photos, Rebecca, and so glad you still had it. Unfortunately, I don't have anything from my childhood except for my beloved Anne of Green Gables books which none of my children were interested in. Am hoping my grandchildren will learn to appreciate them. I did find a dollhouse that looks like one from my era which they play with.

Just found this post Rebecca. So lovely that your children are enjoying playing with your original dolls house. Mine was kept at my mum and dads house and was played with by my son and daughter and their cousins until I rescued it this year .

Thank you so much Diane and Jo for your kind words and comments.

Just been through ebay and got some more pieces for it which I never had. A whole bathroom set, a baby and some nursery pieces. I remember myself wanting these pieces but as we had left Canada and gone back to Malta; I never got the chance to get them. At that time Fisher Price in Malta was a taboo for sure. Thank God for internet and ebay.

I don't know how I missed these charming pics. The kids are so lovely ......a nd it is rather obvious that dolls houses are not for girls only.

Thank you so much Micheal. I fully agree with you a dolls house is not only a girly thing. My son loves it as he tends to play with his sister, Playing with daddy doll and sending the doll kids to bed or taking them to Scholl with the car. The children tend to play with the dolls house like their own up bringing at home.

How very sweet. It's lovely that you still have your first house and that your children get to enjoy it now.
