Default After 30 years!

Hi folks,

I just wanted to share with you this. As some of you might know. My first dolls house was given to me at the age of 4. It was a fisherprice dolls house given to me by Santa. I will treasure it forever. I loved it so much that it was one of the few toys that I kept and took with me after I got married. Today I spent the day at home with the kids as hubby was working. As I was playing with my fairytale tower little Miss Raquel asked if she could play with the dolls house. Well she is only allowed to play with one dolls house. It was very unusual for her to come and ask me for it so I got it down for her. Her brother Matthias joined in and they spent most of the afternoon playing with it without fighting or arguing. I went to see what was going on as they where so quite and busy with it. It brought tears to my eyes seeing my dolls house being played with. It has been almost 30 years since I got it and played with it for hours. I could almost hear my dolls house whisper to me a 'Thank you for giving it a second chance to be played with. It is in a perfect condition with no missing parts. I am very sure that when the time comes Leah will enjoy it too.

The first pic is of me at the age of 4 when I got it for Christmas.
The others are of my Matthias and Raquel playing with it today.

Looks as if they already got it
Lovely photos of your two older ones, nice to see them play together in harmony. And a good thing you kept your 1st dollshouse, I sometimes wish I had kept things from my childhood...

Thanks Joseph, Claudia and Deb. Yes it brings back good old memories as I always had a routine when playing with it. The first thing to start with was breakfast.

I know just how you are feeling!... I still have my first doll's house which I still cherish. I had it for my 5th birthday many moons ago! My daughter played with it for a long time but now it is rather old I don't know if I will be brave enough to let my grandchildren play with it! I hope your children get as much pleasure from your childhood house as you did! x

Aw that is so lovely Rebecca. A photograph to keep forever. I am sure they will make their own minis soon. My grandchildren have loved seeing/playing with my daughter's toys (now 40!, phew) which have just come from the attic. Some of which they have now adopted as their own. So I understand your emotion its brilliant.
