Hi Jeeves, it is nice to hear from you. Your new project looks fiddly and time consuming but will be fabulous when complete.

First up-date.
It is slow going but also a learning curve, the house is going to be an old castle that is being converted to a retirement home, there will be four turrets a small gate house and so far flat roofs.
I have just finished the first turret, that is the first level as i need to build the ground level right through before putting in the ceiling juiced and then the ground floor lighting.
The lighting will be LED strip, you get 3 lights to a room fitted with a resister and run on a 12v transformer, there will be 10 to 15 lights on the ground floor and same on the first floor, 30 in total.
I have ordered the wire and have the switches and transformer, the switches will be in the 2 front turrets but may also run a couple to the rear for turret lighting if need be, there is room for 18 switches in one front turret, i hope.
The building will not just be made of craft sticks, i am keeping an open mind on this.
estimated time of the build is 2 years or more.
The lights have arrived, a 3 meter long strip with 90 LEDs in cut off sections of 3 LEDs, i wired a set of 6 in to the transformer and all worked first time well pleased with them, the rooms will be lit with one section, 3 LEDs and if to bright will dab some coloured felt pen on the lights.
All the soldering will be done by my wife Pat.

Sounds very interesting, I wouldn't mind retiring to a castle as a retirement home, looking forward to seeing the progress.
